As I drove down the narrow, wooded road, the tree line opened up to this breathtaking farm with rolling hills, brightened by the sunlight peaking through the trees. I know Southern Maryland is beautiful and filled with farms, but this, this was a sight, I didn’t know existed so close to home. It was like a painting. Nicole and Allan love the country, hanging on the farm and going for horseback rides. So, it was a must that their engagement session encompassed all of those things.
Of course, as soon as I stepped out of the air conditioned car, I realized that this was
one of the hottest day of the year! I mean, it was HOT, but Nicole and Allan saddled up and set off for a horseback ride, with the warm air almost feeling refreshing. These two were in almost unbearable heat, but it didn’t stop them from laughing, smiling and looking into each others eyes.
Even their horses cooperated! I’m taking that as their approval their humans should get married. After the horses were put away, Nicole and Allan spent the rest of the evening dancing in the fields among the cows and kissing behind the hay bales. These two couldn’t take their eyes off one another and the smiles and looks they exchanged were infectious.
Just a country girl and her cowboy, kissing in the back of his pickup truck, waiting for their rustic, farm wedding next May 2017 at The Belmont Farm in St. Mary’s County, Maryland.
