Sometimes, I still feel like the student sitting in the back of the classroom afraid to raise their hand in fear their answers aren’t good enough, or they’ll be mocked. I know that’s so silly to think that way, but we are our own worst critics right? So, I found myself feeling brave one night and agreed to participate in a boudoir / glamour photography challenge in the Do More Photographers group. I quickly realized the theme “orange” was so vague that I was at a loss for ideas. Heck, I was getting so desperate for a concept that I was contemplating using cheese fries as my “orange” (that idea might happen one day).
In a matter of a few days, I had a black and orange 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass parked in my garage, a beautiful friend to model, a makeshift wardrobe and talented makeup artist. There really wasn’t much of a game plan and I have to admit that was probably what made this so much fun. There were no expectations. This was just for fun and the whole photoshoot was done right in my driveway…actually my neighbor’s driveway while he was away at work. haha Thanks, man.
Thank you to my awesome, smoking hot friend, Tara, for modeling, Victoria Ronan from Natural Looks by Victoria for her makeup skills and fur coat and my husband’s friends for leaving me the keys to this bad a$$ car!!!
